Description

This trail features moderate grades in the lower portion of the North Fruita Desert. The trail is probably best accessed from the Edge Loop - Lower 18 Road Section rather than the New Downhill Lower trail but it is open to travel in either direction.

The narrow trail bed is cut into the side of the bentonite ridges in places so going off trail might send you down into a ravine, but otherwise this trail is pretty tame and beginners with reasonable control will find it enjoyable.

Like the other trails in the lower desert, there isn't any shade to be had so plan accordingly.
