Description

This 2.4 miles trail offers great views and a fun descent from the higher elevations in the park.

A gradual climb up the initial 'road' portion of Phegley Ridge Rd is on a wide graded 'access road' width trail, and once you reach Redfern pond (look out for Wild Boar who congregate here) the trail narrows to grassy two-track as it begins the descent down the ridge.

The middle portion is a real roller-coaster, with great views and visibility along the trail - including one long and particularly steep descent which would be a grind climbing up in the other direction... As the ridge narrows, so does the trail into a flowing singletrack all the way to Hunting Hollow Road. A little bit of everything, and an nice alternative to the other options if you've ridden the park in a clockwise direction and are returning to the Hunting Hollow parking lot.
