Overview
A quick loop through the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve with a little elevation and some nice views. This is a great after work ride to get out and enjoy some fresh air.
Need to Know
There's plenty of parking at the trailhead and riding back up to Hale Avenue makes for a nice easy warm up for the legs before heading into the ride. You'll encounter more hikers than bikers, just keep an eye out when taking sharp turns on the way down.
Description
It's all manicured gravel for hiking and biking with no technical sections and just a bit of climbing. The entrance has some cow gates to cross through, just lift to access and follow the signs. Be sure to leave the gates as you find them. There are no intersecting trails off of the
Arrowhead Loop Trail, so navigating is simple and straightforward. The loop can only be ridden in the clockwise direction.
After the rain, when everything is green, there are nice views of the valley and picnic tables and scenic outlook areas along the way make a great place to enjoy a snack.
