Description
Roma's Road is a wide access track across the middle of the mountain which allows you to quickly connect with a number of other trails after riding the first part of
Skid Marks from the top of the mountain.
It connects to the top of the Canyon Express lift (chair #16 which only operates on Fri-Sun), allowing you direct access the start of
Follow Me and Bullet DH, and also the
Brake Through Connector trail - which in turn leads to many other trails on the middle and lower eastern side of the mountain.
This trail is technically two-way, although it is pretty steep in places in this downhill direction [hence being rated by the park as a single black diamond] and is very much like riding a mini version of the
Kamikaze/Eliminator - you can go as fast as you are brave - just watch out for the tight gravel switchback corners!
The start of Roma's Road is well marked at the junction of
Skid Marks and Toll Road, starting with a short sharp uphill pedal followed by a fast descent to the end. At the final hairpin you can either continue left towards the McCoy Station [Gondola] to access trails from there, or turn hard right for the final downhill portion to the top of the Canyon Express lift, for
Follow Me, Bullet DH and
Brake Through Connector.
