In the first half, the path is rocky and stony. Given the precipice, it may be better to leave the click-pedals in some of the steepest switchbacks. Two tunnels allow you to ride the rockiest part of the slope.
When you reach the forest, the slope flattens out and the ride becomes easier. Towards the end, it becomes wider and smoother - almost a flow trail.
