Description
Sentiero delle Meatte #152 was built during the First World War as a mule track that crosses the southern slopes of Monte Boccaor and Monte Meatte and connects the paved roads of Pian dela Bala and Malga Vedetta. The slopes of Monte Boccaor are much rockier than those of Monte Meatte.
Therefore, the trail around Monte Meatte is a bit gentler and not so exposed. That's why I decided to share the Sentiero delle Meatte #152. I rode it from west to east.
The starting point is the saddle between Monte Boccaor and Monte Meatte. The path is sometimes rocky, but there are also flowing parts. On the descent, you pass the beginning of
Sentiero #153 and reach a saddle where this trail touches the dirt road to Malga Archeson.
A short climb with two switchbacks follows. After a short descent, you reach the paved public road (parking lot) near a pond ("Laghetto di Val Archeson") and Malga Vedetta.
