Need to Know

Restrooms available at the bottom of the fire road (Ocelot) in Deer Canyon Park Preserve and also at Sycamore Park.

Description

This trail begins as fairly non-descript singletrack as it leaves the fire road in Deer Canyon Park and immediately climbs out of the canyon to the east. It very quickly widens with two horse fences on either side. After topping out, and catching some views of Yorba Linda and Chino Hills State Park, you'll descend a very steep hill to Anise Lane. I should rate this trail as a black diamond, not for technicality, but for the steepness in the westernmost section of the trail.

After this point, the trail becomes a green (easy) all the way past Sycamore Park till it connects to the Weir Canyon Trail. To access the Weir Canyon Trail, cross Weir Canyon Road at the crosswalk and continue straight through some fairly overgrown trail until it opens up again on the well used Weir Canyon Trail.
