Description

Do this as an out an back from the Portofino Vetta (parking) or take the really difficult climb from Portofino itself (via San Sebastiano) and complete the Parco Portofino loop. Take a loop or two on the Monte Pallone singletrack while you're up here.

Overall this is a peaceful ride through the forest. There is an interesting rock formation (Pietre strette, literally narrow rocks) along the way to discover. There are numerous trails that intersect at Pietre Strette, but most of them are off limits to bikes.

At the end of the Dorsale, you'll come out near a grand hotel (which was strangely completely abandoned when I rode by) in Portofino Vetta.
