Description

Starting at the east end of Sweetgum Hill Loop, the trail runs east on flat ground through open pines. This might be the fastest flat section in the park.

The trail then traverses a small ditch three times, however, there is a split and if you stay to the right, you only cross the ditch once. Next, the trail splits again and if you stay straight, the trail heads east and connects with Odd Buck, which is the way to the all of the back trails.

If you turn right, the trail gets rough from exposed roots as it runs along a ravine and connects back with Canebrake.
