A parallel trail of West Ridge to Lower East Ridge.

Description

This is the first part of East Ridge, which runs parallel to West Ridge. It's slightly easier than West Ridge in some areas. The trail starts as singletrack, passing the top of Outlaw, then into some sharp switchbacks, which can be rutted out and overgrown with tumbleweeds.

After that, it opens up into doubletrack, which is usually sandy in some spots. There are also some whoop-de-doos on the doubletrack, running along the ridge before meeting up with Lower East Ridge.
