Need to Know
Bring swimming suit. The trail begins right next to the French Broad River, a great place for an after-ride swim. A ride summary can be viewed here
This ride starts out with a big, steep climb on Chimney Rocks #154
consisting of a healthy mix of hike-a-bike and pedaling when you can. Once you get to the summit, enjoy the views before you head west over to the Paint Mountain Trail #7
From there, it's a solid intermediate descent with steep, exposed, fall lines that parallel the trail down to Weavers Bend Road 209C
, which you'll cruise back east to the parking area.
