Description

This wide, graded fire road climbs the main ridge of the Verdugo Mountains from the west, ending at a T-intersection with the Stough Canyon Fire Road and the western end of the Verdugo Motorway. Compared to many of the other access roads in this trail network, Chandler feels more isolated from the city and offers lovely views down into La Tuna Canyon to the north.

Punishing, particularly at the beginning with a steep incline for more than half a mile. It's almost all climbing except for a couple of flat parts.
