If you're following the Sasso Malascarpa e Lago Segrino (Malascarpa Saddle and Segrino Lake) loop, you'll run into this forest road downhill following the la Colma to Rifugio Terz'Alpe singletrack. You've got a mile of relatively flat riding to let your wrists recover from the 360 m (1200 ft), 1.5-mile descent you've just done. Then you've got another 300 m (1000 ft), 1.5-mile descent on this forest road.

The road makes a number of switchbacks as it nears the hamlet of Gajum at the bottom. The whole route is well-forested, so hopefully, you enjoyed the view earlier in the loop.
