“An easy dirt trail along the northeast edge of Colorado Springs.”
— Allen Tanner
Wide dirt path 70% and paved trail 30% with tunnels under major roads make this path perfect for new riders.
The north end of Sand Creek Trail (north) begins at the gas station on Woodmen Drive. The trail runs south behind neighborhoods, running parallel to Sand Creek, to end at Barnes Road.
The start of the trail passes underneath Woodmen Road. The graded path continues south to Dublin Road, passes a Fire station and passes under Dublin Road. The trail remains dirt until Stetson Hills Blvd. Many joggers and dog-walkers use this trail. It is a good path for new riders.
After Stetson Hills, the path is paved to Barnes Road.
