A fun, flowing singletrack with intermediate obstacles.

Overview

Description

First, hop on Zook Loop counterclockwise for less than a quarter of a mile to access Coyote Run. Both trailheads for the loop will be in the same location and they are both clearly marked (like everything at Cheyenne Mountain State Park).

Riding counterclockwise, you'll first have a short, rocky climb and descent before you have to stop to cross a road. The trail picks up directly across the road and from there, it's a fun, flowing singletrack with some tough obstacles to keep you on your toes.

In the northern straight of the loop, you'll see the intersection for Soaring Kestrel and towards the end of the loop you'll see the intersection for lower Boulder Run.

Getting forecast...

Apart from Cougar's Shadow and Medicine Wheel this is probably one of the more technically challenging trails in the park. The rocks can get tougher at a few spots if the trail is washed out. Mar 15, 2017

Another trail where intermediate technical skills will be helpful and also a good place to work on them. Apr 15, 2017
