An old dirt road that connects the Timberline subdivision to the Ash Canyon Trails.

Steve Ferguson

Overview

Snow covered in winter.
Features: eMTB allowed
Dogs: Off-leash

Description

This is a relatively easy MTB trail that starts at the top of Vicee Canyon at the end of Timberline Dr. Trucks and ATV's can navigate this road as well. There is a small creek at the back of the canyon that runs year round after heavy snow years.

As an out-and-back, it's about 3 miles; otherwise you can connect to the Ash Canyon trails to make it a longer one-way or even longer round trip.

Deer and coyotes are common sited early and late in the day, as well as the occasional bear. There are lots of hikers who use this trail with their dogs, and in the winter you can cross country ski it.

Look for the great views of Carson City and the surrounding mountain ranges.
