Overview

Features: -none-
Family Friendly: We see families with children riding up here all the time. The first part of the climb is steeper and then mellows out.
Dogs: Leashed

Description

!Deer Park Fire Road starts behind the Fairfax - San Anselmo Children's Center at the end of Porteous Road in Fairfax, and connects in to the MMWD/Mt. Tam watershed trail system.

It is a popular place to start rides and a great dirt connector instead of climbing up the pavement of Fairfax-Bolinas Road.

This is a great way to start longer rides or visit the Lakes above Fairfax. There is a parking lot, bathrooms, picnic tables, and water at the bottom.
