Description

This trail is the newest on the Pedernales Falls State Park MTB Loop and follows the canyon rim. This is most definitely an intermediate level trail that is loaded with small technical climbs, rock gardens, and small water crossings.

In some instances, it is almost like riding a broken staircase, so come well equipped with water, energy bars, and spares. Thankfully, the trail is nicely shaded in the juniper trees, compared to lower trails, and the scenery is incredible, all of which make this trail well worth riding.

There is good signage at the trailheads, but be sure to download the trail map before riding out or use the MTB Project mobile app. Also, make sure you are not overly ambitious on the mileage because this can be a difficult route.
