This dirt road is a scenic climb that connects many of the singletrack trails in the area together. While this one can't be ridden as a loop, take your time, and have fun ripping back to the car on some fast and fun singletrack!
From the parking area you pedal up Hihn's Mill Road for about 1/2 mile or so before you start descending down towards
Sulphur Springs Rd. You can either head uphill here towards
Ridge Trail or continue on to reach other trails.
Further down the road, you'll reach the bottom of Braille shortly followed by Tractor
Trail (road) and the bottom of
Flow Trail. Heading uphill will take to to the top of the
Ridge Trail and the top of the
Flow Trail.
If you continue down hill on the road, you'll come across Badger Springs Picnic area which is a beautiful spot to relax. Most parts of the road this far down are lightly explored, and you'll want to remember to bring lots of water, for the climb out is big.
This road does dead end at a private gate and is unfortunately not a loop unless connected to the trails above.
Continuing to the end of this road leaves you at the bottom of
Sawpit Trail. From the bottom of Sawpit, you have about 4 miles of riding to get back to the parking area where your car is. There are some short breaks in the climb, but for most part you are working from here to get back to the car.
The road follows the river with beautiful steep banks and second growth forest.
