The newest addition to the Whole Enchilada - New Beginning 2014 ride so you can avoid the Kokopelli Trail road section. This trail is not all downhill but is well worth the detour. The trail twists and turns and has some short and mellow climbs. Most of the turns are perfect for railing at high speeds when the dirt is in good shape. Unlike most Moab area trails, there are not a lot of rocks to bounce or drop off of so consider this your warm up into UPS and LPS.

The trail starts from the pull out just north of where Hazard County finishes. There are a couple of old roads that cross the route, but most of it is well marked and easy to follow.

I really liked this single track as a pre-cursor to Porcupine. It was flowy and fun. The few cattle-guards on the trail don't take away from it's fun. Great warm-up from the road, not as a part of Guacamole. May 17, 2017
Worst trail ever is 100% true, unless you don't like fun. If you're generally opposed to fun, skip the koko fire road, and ride Jimmy Keen. Why you ask? Speed and air time are no fun. Pedaly, slow corners ARE fun, right? And a trail that feels uphill the entire way? That's fun too, right? No, no, no. If you like fun, skip this atrocious pile of poo. Jul 12, 2017

While not nearly as fast and furious as Burro or Hazard County or much of UPS/LPS, this is a very pleasant jaunt. Nice smooth twisty single track as either a warm up, beginning or a bit of a break from mud and ice chocked Burro decent. I love the rough stuff and drops - this trail adds variety - worth it to stay longer and enjoy the ride and views. What's the rush to bomb down Kokopelli road? Oct 20, 2017
