Overview

Description

Shooting Range is a nice singletrack trail the traverses across the Avimor trail system. The trail goes up and down as it works its way across the hills. The trail begins at Spring Creek and ends at Bovine Nirvana. There are no sustained climbs or large technical sections - the trail has good flow.

Dry - The beginning of spring creek to quick draw is closed. I rode this counter clockwise taking the power line connector to Kinect loop down to bovine. Kinect loop is is not well marked and is steep down to bovine and there are a lot of cow bones at the bottom. I took shooting range back and the bridge has a washout. Be careful. I had to hike a bike. When I connected to quick draw at finish, I had to hop down into the road grade to get back as quick draw trail is no longer there. I know why the sign at the left off spring creek says temporarily closed now. It was hot and the bushes were overgrown into the trail and I felt like I was riding off camber all day in the singletrack. This is not for the casual mountain biker. On a side note....I surprised a couple hikers just prior to the old road and one of them had a pistol and chambered a round as I came around the bend. They were polite but I was wary.
