Description

Harum Trail connects Golden Gate Loop (GH 39) trail to the top of Heinous Hill, the eastern end of Sawmill Road (GH 22). It is a winding, rutted singletrack, and the easiest climb to this location in the Golden Horseshoe.

This trail can be difficult to find in the field. From Golden Gate Loop (GH 39), look for an unmarked, singletrack on the north side of the trail midway between the intersection of Dry Gulch Trail (GH 35) and Prospect Hill Road (GH 38).

There is a leaning cabin on the north side of Golden Gate Loop west of the Harum Trail. And a three-way intersection with Golden Gate Loop and Prospect Hill Road east of the trail. Unfortunately, with the ongoing logging the field markings have been obliterated at the three-way intersection. Harum trail is the only, well-established route between these landmarks.

Go north on Harum which ends at a three-way, unmarked intersection with the Fuller Trail (GH 44) on the left of the trail. From here continue up Fuller Trail to the right and then take the next right on Golden Rule Trail (GH 71) on the right for a downhill to Lincoln Meadow. Or turn left and descend Fuller Trail.
