Description

The Deer Creek trail is a fun ride to do after you've done most of the other trails in the area. The trail doesn't get much bike travel and is really eroded at the top and steep at the bottom. The middle section of the trail has some sections of fast and flowy singletrack right above Deer Creek.

The trail shares the beginning of Coal Creek Trail. Deer Creek vaguely splits off from Coal at the top of the hill and goes next to a small lake. The trail veers right then left through some thick willow and is hard to find. Look for cairns and make sure your on the trail before preceding. It's hard to stay on the trail in parts because of the erosion and random loose rocks and drops. After a little while, the trail is easier to see and ride. The last bit of trail is gnarly, steep, and loose. Some people won't like this, but its all rideable and fun. This trail makes for a great loop from Pass Creek Trail.
