Update

Nice ride near other great trails.

Yo Lo

Description

Snow until July and then again around September.
This is a great shorter trail near the EMT and CT that rides pretty good. Makes for a nice and quick loop from the top of Coal Bank Pass. Go up Pass Creek trail, right on the EMT then right on Coal Creek. BEWARE: the trail just disappears once you drop south off the ridge. Be very careful and look for the trail re-emerging on the left before you go down too far. If you end up at the bottom of the drainage, you've gone too far. Once on the road, ride back up to the TH at the top of the pass.

Conditions

The top of this trail is painfully rutted and unridable in my opinion for bout 1/2 mile. The rut is about 6in deep for long stretches and impossible to peddle in. Other parts were too technical for me to enjoy and I am an advanced rider. The rest was fun as a downhill but I would choose to descent Pass Creek if I had it to do over again, crowds or not.
