Description

The Loyston Loop trail is a family-friendly, flowy trail. This machine groomed trail is wider than singletrack, with no distinct obstacles and natural elevation changes provide easy to moderate climbs. The Trail has scenic views of Norris Lake, drains well, and withstands riding soon after precipitation events.

The trails are part of Loyston Point Recreational Area which provides hiking, biking, boat ramp, Lake swimming, camping, and RV hook ups. There is a camp store.

Raining but the bike didn't get very muddy. Rode with Tyler and Zach. Great time. 8mi — 2h 00m

Lots of leaves down, obscuring the trail. Smaller tree still down, but easy enough to ride over. Overall a great ride! — 1h 30m

The Loyston Loop is the go to trail if it has been raining out. Can be ridden pretty much all the time regardless of the weather. There is a couple of sustained climbs but very little technical challenge. Apr 17, 2017

Great place to ride when it is raining or the trails close to Knoxville are muddy. Climbs are longer than I expected but great down hill runs for intermediate riders. Folks are the campground are very friendly. Hope to camp there sometime. If you are lucky enough to meet Tyler and Zach, do your best to try and keep up. They were awesome guides. Jan 10, 2018
First mtb trail. Had a lot of fun, very easy, and it provides tons of jumps for beginners. Mar 6, 2018
