“A quick six mile tour of the best Ute Valley has to offer, minus the jump lines.”
— Matt Tankersley
Includes both the Nachos and Almond Butter downhills, as well as the fun and techy entrance and exit to Ute via the East Loop.
Park on the side of Tech Center Dr. and start the ride with a techy, sometimes challenging climb along Ute Valley East Loop (North)
until you get to the Yucca doubletrack. After a quick descent, take a singletrack to your left, cross a bridge, and climb up a quick, sandy, doubletrack. At the top, take a left and you'll find the first real descent known as Nachos. There's a few drops, water bars, and some chunky sections. Cross a trail at the bottom and continue straight until you get the the top of Almond Butter. This is a quick but awesome descent, leading you down to the East Loop, which will take you back to your car. There are some jump lines to the left before you descend down Almond Butter.
