Description

This is an old road through the park, one of the original "trails". Because it has become eroded in places and receives no vehicle traffic, it sometimes narrows down to wide singletrack in later summer. Even though it's classified as a 2-track, it is still an important connector between various trail segments.

It starts at the intersection of Vermont Hill and Centerline roads. It heads into the park past intersections 3 and 4, each of which is Sgt. Mark Rademacher trail crossing.

It goes through a sometimes wet section up to intersection 17, where it takes a sharp right down the hill. The downhill gets steeper until it crosses a large tributary on a bridge that seems like it is going to fall down any day now (you have been warned!). Across the bridge is intersection 22 with Mirkwood.

Continuing on, the trail makes a sharp left at intersection 23 and heads up a very eroded section. It passes the start of the Upper North Red trail at intersection 27, and then continues to its end at the pipeline.
