Features -none-

Stay off XC-ski trails in the winter as they are groomed and bikes are prohibited. Be careful to watch for hikers on the weekends as these trails are very popular.

Overview

This ride features short climbs with semi-technical roots and is an overall fun after-work training area.

Need to Know

Lots of roots on the north side.

Description

This ten-mile loop is a great training ride that incorporates everything Sprague Brook County Park has to offer; some roots, a few rocks, a couple heart rate-rising short climbs, a few fast downhills, water crossings, balance sections, and views! This route is easy enough for most abilities and still fun enough for the experienced rider.

History & Background

A lot of trail maintenance is done every year by the Western New York Mountain Bicycling Association. This area is increasing in popularity as FAT biking becomes main stream and is the only place to ride close to Buffalo.

Take it slow until you are familiar with the track, there are many blind corners with large drop offs into ravines, some "rooty" sections near edges. 10mi

DRY! Roots on overlook are getting really bad! Full squish if you have it! 10mi — 1h 10m

Fun loop to ride with nice variety. Three "trouble" spots for beginer riders...Pallet Bridge, The Ditch, and The Hump. At least in my estimation. The start of the snowmobile climb is a bit steep as well. Creekside has one little tricky spot near the start. Skunk the hard way is climb climb climb. Aug 31, 2016
