Description

Big Beech Trail connects FS Road 1099 to Boomerang Trail and River Trail: South. It leaves 1099 in the middle of a 90-degree curve and after passing through a nice hardwood area, it enters the Ocmulgee floodplain, crosses a small tributary of 2nd Branch, and eventually connects with Boomerang Trail.

It's not technical, but after a big rain, the very flat and shallow creek crossing can be a bit marshy. Also, there is one eroded gulley that the trail crosses that can be intimidating to beginner riders.
