Description

The Boomerang Trail begins near the Hwy 83 trailhead through pines along what apparently once was a logging or farming road running along the ridge. About halfway to the river, it gets steeper and enters a nice hardwoods area and twists a bit down the hill as is approaches the River Trail: South and connects just south of the footbridge over 2nd Branch.

There is nothing technical about the trail, but beginners might find the steeper northern section a bit of a struggle. This trail completes a nice short (3-mile) loop from the Hwy 83 trailhead down River Trail: South and back up to the Highway.
