Description

Pedal north from the Behind the Rocks Road or the Rubble Hill Behind The Rocks - Hwy 191 connector. Where the road approaches the Fins and bends left (west) along the boundary of the Wilderness Study Area, continue straight and ride along the hill contour.

The road is not as heavily used by OHVs as others in the area so you can expect less sand and traffic, even on weekends. The rocky ledges are fairly steep and difficult in places, but largely ride-able in both directions.

Along the route, you'll get fantastic views of Spanish Valley and the Lasal Mountains, as well as the eastern edge of the Fins. Watch for the large yet subtle Moab Rim Arch, and the small but distinctive Tukuhnikivats (or Tukuhnikivista) Arch, which appears at the end of the road and makes a scenic, not-too-far hiking destination.
