Description

This trail is mostly climbing going from north to south, and the opposite going from south to north. If you are going to ride the Elliot Barker, it is best to ride the Sage to Elliot Barker Loop or the Big Kahuna Ride. These are the most viable options for this trail. However, if you do want to climb your little heart out with little downhill reward, your directions are as follows:

Park at the trailhead on HWY 64. Go though the forest trail gate and immediately take a left, go across a creek over a bridge and stay right on the singletrack from there. It will vary from doubletrack to singletrack to doubletrack that feels like singletrack along the climb.

Once you reach the top at Bull Springs (Giant High Forest Meadow), you'll traverse through the meadow traveling southwest. Go through the cattle gate and turn left (south). From here, you can't get lost, simply stay on the singletrack and look to the south when you get to the meadow. Use your MTB Project mobile app to steer you to the end of the trail.

When you get to the end of the Elliot Barker Trail, you can choose to proceed onto the South Boundary Trail #164 or continue to the rest of the Big Kahuna Ride and back to town.
