Description

Golden Rule Trail (GH 71) begins just below the summit of Heinous Hill off of the Harum Trail. The trail crosses Spruce Road (GH 72) initially, then again after 1/4 mile. The singletrack is winding and rutted and generally downhill. There is a short climb along a ridge after the second junction with Spruce Road.

The trail has a tendency to hold water due to the deep ruts created from the motorized use.

At the east end of the trail, turn left (east) on a doubletrack in the meadow to reach Lincoln Park Road (GH 66).

Top of Heinous Hill. Sign at the beginning of Fuller Trail (GH 44) at the intersection with GH 22 (Sawmill Road) and GH 72 (Spruce Road). Most of the markers along Fuller identify it as GH 44, but there are still several GH 12 marker posts: holdovers from initial Forest Service numbering efforts.
