Description

Horseshoe offers a little bit of everything, in a nice, compact package. Start from one of two trailheads: (1) Near McPherson Slough Boat Ramp, left off of Dove Loop Road onto Horseshoe Trail Road; (2) Just off of Dove, between Park and Silvercrest.

There are lots of nice short, "steep" technical sections (well, as steep as you can get in these parts!) If you've never been, bring a map, or someone who knows the trail... The trail twists back on itself in places, so it's not hard to shortcut/bypass, or even get going in the wrong direction. Once you know the trail, it's a nice little gem in the DFW area!
