From the Meadow Loop, you'll come across a sign post and junction marking the beginning of the Telegraph trail. This trail is starts with a long uphill, but is ride-able almost the entire way. The final climb before the views of Horse Gulch and the La Plata Mountains will challenge most riders.

Eventually it reaches a bench at the top where it levels off and starts descending. Getting on Yellow Brick Road right where it starts descending will give a more enjoyable downhill. The final descent of Telegraph can be very steep and washed out.
