Description

This section of Wilson Ridge gets back into some singletrack. It's a nice way to end a ride here - with downhill.

Finding the start of this trail is tricky from Loose Mtn. Road - FSR 4097. There are a few intersections with no signage or blazes. If you're headed south from Middle Wilson Ridge, stay right at the first intersection (where 4097 drops to the left). If you're coming up 4097 from Maple Sally Road, take a left at this first intersection from the bottom. Stay right at the next fork. The left goes up toward Adams Mtn. Just past this, the road goes through a field and straight into the woods...finally, some singletrack. The trail drops quickly into a fast, fun, rocky descent. Rated intermediate, most of this trail is not too technical, but there are a handful of challenging areas including small rock gardens and and a few slabs.

The terminus is at Brown Mountain Beech Rd., across from a very scenic section of the Wilson Creek Wild & Scenic River.
