“A nice 3.6 mile loop with approx 500 feet of elevation”
— John Duke on May 20, 2013
OverviewA great after work loop. The climbs are long, but the descents are sweet. It can be crowded on weekends and holidays, but generally it's not too bad.
Need To KnowThere has been some crime at the trailhead, particularly catalytic converters, park closer to the highway, and lock your doors.
DescriptionHeading up Red Rock Canyon Trail to the Roundup Trail, the ride is steadily up hill until you crest the ridge. After that it's rolling for 2 trail crossings until you head down some steep technical singletrack.
It soon opens up into the Sand Canyon Trail where you can really rip down the hill. Follow the Sand Canyon Trail to the parking lot and repeat as desired.
