Description

From the park entrance follow the route called No Dogs or Unnamed Ridge all the way to the top. Mostly a pretty standard fire road climb - several miles of climbing with a few little drops back down only to put you straight back into the uphill.

Not technical, not grueling, just long and sustained.

This is the main day hiker route up the canyon - so watch out for crowds after 10AM. There are pleasant view down into the Canyon and across to Morro ridge to the right.

Just plow through the climb and focus on getting to the top. Don't take the branches down to the right - or any of the trails off to the left - just keep on going to the fenceline.
