Description

This trail is a flat trail paved with fine-packed crushed gravel through most of its distance. As of June 2022, the northernmost section between Frametown and Gassaway was not surfaced, but access is still permitted. That section is best for bikes with suspension.

The rest of it is relatively smooth and follows alongside the Elk River throughout its length.

The trail is not completed and has an unjoined section from Clendenin to Queen Shoals of approximately three miles. Trail passes by the towns of Gassaway, Frametown, Strange Creek, Duck, Ivydale, and Clay.
