Family Friendly Wide, hard surface trail makes it an excellent trail for families to enjoy the area.

Description

This trail connects Huston Wyeth Park and River Bluff Bike Park via bike/pedestrian bridge over Highland Avenue. It is a wide crushed limestone trail that is open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic.

It is forested for nearly its entirety with the exception of the hilltop at Huston Wyeth Park. While its surface would imply a beginner level trail, there are several areas with steep elevation changes. For those that would need a rest, there are benches interspersed along its length. Not only can one find various hubs for singletrack along the way, but there are old park structures built in the 1930's, an explosives storage bunker from the time an underground quarry was in operation, and provides access and return for the beginner level flow zone.

Near the old structures, one can find a kid's stacked loop downhill area and skills loop. Both are suitable for strider bikes, as well. Families can spend time here and use the picnic tables in one of the old structures while using the kid's area or simply as a nice snack stop while traveling the length of the trail.

While not ADA accessible, it is well suited for adaptive mountain bikes and even bicycles with narrow tire widths.
