Overview

The highlights of this route are the three main downhill trails: Cinderella Trail, Big Trees Trail, and Palos Colorados Trail. These are mostly fast and flowy, with a few technical sections scattered throughout (Cinderella also having one large one).

Description

First, take the paved road on the left and pass the hiker-only trail. You should soon reach a big sign that says "Bike Trail," also known as Orchard Trail on maps. This is a fast singletrack connector to Sequoia Bayview Trail, and you get to skip half of the flat, boring part.

Continue to Big Trees Trail and climb up the short climb. Connecting over to the downhill section, it is a fun ride down to Palos Colorados Trail. Take this trail next, and enjoy the bermed switchbacks. At the bottom, climb up the short uphill section of Sunset Trail - this is a tough climb.

The connector to the start of Cinderella Trail is quite simple, just follow the fire road. Now, it's time for the highlight of the ride. Cinderella Trail is a fast, and sometimes bumpy 0.7 miles next to the creek. At the bottom, follow the rest of the route over to lookout point, and head back to the car.

Went with the Michaels. Got lost a few times and had to hike our bikes up a few times. Finally did the sampler loop. Some parts quite steep 7.5mi — 3h 00m
