A nice park overlooking Lake Brophy and North Union Lake.

Need to Know

There is a main trail to get you to the high point of the park, from there, you can choose from easy, medium, hard trails to descend or even a winding cross country trail toward the lake, too. Tons of fun for everyone!

Description

The park has a fully accessible playground, a fire pit, dock, overlook benches, primitive trails for hiking and mountain biking, public beach and direct access to the Central Lakes Trail.

In the winter, enjoy a groomed sledding hill, fat tire biking and cross country ski trails.

History & Background

Lake Brophy County Park offers the best views of Alexandria and the surrounding area. The tops of the hills are 140 feet above Lake Brophy.

Multi-use trails wandering through the upland prairie lead you to the best views in the county. In 2019, they welcomed a new swimming beach and fishing pier along the north shore of Lake Brophy.
