Cartwright Ridge Trail

This trail begins at the "T" junction where Pierce Park Rd cuts off Cartwright Rd. Look down to the northwest and you'll see a singletrack by a signboard with a map. This is about 0.25 miles downhill from the Polecat parking and trailhead.

The other terminus of the trail is in The Hidden Springs neighborhood; there are several exits out onto different streets. I've chosen to end the trail on Andy's Gulch Rd, in front of the Elementary School. From there, you could ride a few blocks out past the bike park to the Redtail Trailhead.

Ridge to Rivers adopted this trail in 2021 and also made Barn Owl the official access to this trail from the Hidden Springs end. The "unofficial" trail access spurs are still accessible, but not actively maintained (just like it was before R2R adopted the trail). The Ridge to Rivers adoption also brought with it some mildly improved signage and one minor trail re-route around a particularly washed-out hill.

This trail lets you make a loop out of Chukar Butte and Peggy's.
