Description

This trail starts out at the Ellis Trailhead parking lot and is a challenging, fairly slow, out-and-back. It's quite rocky, given the exposed elevated terrain, so this is not a nice quick ride and novice to intermediate riders will dismount on steeper and rockier grades. But it is quite scenic if you don’t mind the pace.

The trail is lined with coniferous forest on either side and at times passes through narrow aspen-lined sections. Don't be put off by the doubletrack near the start as it narrows to singletrack for the majority of the trail.

If you aren't riding this as an out-and-back, connect to the 10K Trail #200. That trail is even more challenging as the very rocky and root-strewn singletrack spits you out 0.9 miles mountain road from the Ellis Trailhead.
