Description

This 5.5-mile casual loop connects the several campgrounds with the Visitor Center. The gravel path is about five feet wide. Minimal elevation changes and a smooth tread make this easy in either direction.

From the visitor center, the loop provides access to the Pescado Trail. As it works around, it accesses several hiking-only trails that drop down into the gorge (some with petroglyphs at the bottom).

Good gravel ride on a flat wide trail. We used hardtails, but a gravel bike (or any meaty road bike) would be fine. Be careful of the heat. 5.5mi — 1h 30m
