Description

The start of Race Loop is reached by following the Entry Connector past a small teeter totter at the north end of the parking area. Follow the connector through a gentle bend till it reaches the next corner where a sign points to Race Loop to the right and the Challenge Loop to the left (see notes below about mileage).

Race Loop will eventually flow into the Challenge Loop, so head right for the maximum mileage. As you continue on the trail, watch your speed on that first hump unless you want to catch air! After plenty of twists and turns, you'll come to a T intersection at the end of the Race Loop where a sign indicates you are about to start Challenge Loop. Go right for Challenge Loop or left to return to the parking area.

The main trail sign is a bit misleading the first time you read it. It might make you think the Race Loop is 6.8 miles and Challenge Loop is 4 miles, but what it really means is if you do the Race Loop AND Challenge Loop together you get 6.8 miles but if you go left for just Challenge Loop only, you get 4 miles. The actual distances of both appear to be shorter than posted.

Sign is slightly misleading and distances may be off. Go right for Race Loop which will take you directly to Challenge Loop for 5 total miles. Left takes you to Challenge Loop for 3.4 total miles. Do both for Featured Ride!
