Bonneville Shoreline Trail: Corner Canyon Connector (C3)

This is a beautiful ride along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail that allows easy access to Corner Canyon for those in Sandy and beyond.

This connector starts near the large, gray Stake Center (LDS Church Building) on Wasatch Drive in Sandy. Park in the parking lot next door. Head up the paved access path; just around the first corner, the trail starts to the left and bears east. Follow the trail up through the spruce tress, across the Hidden Valley access road, down the stairs and across the bridge.

Intermediate rocky technical sections break up the long, flowing singletrack. The views are unbelievable, including lookouts near the water tower. Past the water tower, you may want to dismount and walk where the trails winds underneath two enormous boulders. Further down, you'll cross 185-foot long Bear Canyon Suspension bridge; be careful not to look down as it's nearly a 100-foot drop to the river below.

The trail passes the access points to Ralph's, Jacob's Ladder, and Cherry Canyon Trails. Expect lots of two-way traffic with runners, hikers and dog walkers; courtesy goes a long way here. The trail winds in and out of the watershed, so it is important to be mindful of the signs regarding canine access.
