Overview

A tour of many of Griffin Bike Park's singletrack trails.

Need to Know

A few "intermediate" sections include a short section of challenging rollers and two pitched, rooty hills.

Description

This route starts with switchbacks that locals call "the fingers", enters a flowing section leading to a wider trail, and then enters a series of flowing trails set among small ridges. After a climb and descent, the trail traverses a short section of rollers and opens out to some wide, mostly straight singletrack heading south.

A quick right takes riders into a climb. At top of the hill, riders make a fast left and enter a really fun, flowing section of small hills. After a climb and more flow, riders negotiate a short but rooty uphill section and make a left, traveling along singletrack until confronting another rooty hill pitched downward.

After zooming down, the circuit heads to the left, entering a straight section of singletrack on an somewhat overgrown road. A sharp 60-degree turn right enters into more straightaway singletrack. Shortly after a rocky dip, the trail makes a sharp right and enters into a short climb. The trail then winds through the woods, eventually coming to a quick succession of climbs and descents and eventually a wide bermed turn right and passing by some rocks. After a hard left followed by a hard right
riders enter some berms and switchbacks - they climb for a bit and come to a fast descent. The course finishes with views of Stryker Lake to the right - riders wind through some last turns leading to the parking lot and the completed circuit.
