Description

While not particularly noteworthy on its own, the Dalles Ridge Trail is a pleasant connector climbing right out of the trailhead.

The rocky start soon fades away to a smooth dirt trail with occasional roots and modestly punchier climbs. The intersection for the Ranger Creek Trail #1197 can be quickly reached. From there, the trail continues more gradually until a very steep climb near the end connects riders to the Noble Knob Trail #1184.

In the other direction, Dalles Ridge Trail starts with a couple of fast plummets on rowdy terrain. Pretty soon, it mellows out into a series of moderate climbs and descents that bring you to the intersection with the Ranger Creek Trail.
