Description

The Big Bend Trail begins at mile 14 of the Colorado Creek Trail. It passes by the Colorado Creek Cabin and continues through a large open meadow before climbing steeply to the top of the ridge.

From there, the route follows the ridgeline south, passing over its highest elevation. Afterwards, the trail drops to a saddle between the ridge and the dome. The descent continues, paralleling a creek drainage for a bit.

The trail then passes near the "Big Bend" on Beaver Creek and continues through open meadows and black spruce forests before connecting with the Wickersham Creek Trail about 0.5 mile south of Beaver Creek.
